After a lot of checks, evaluations, and scrupulous vetting of our business from top to bottom, we are so excited to announce that Pai is officially a certified B Corp skincare brand.
It’s big news for us, and great news for you – because as a Pai customer, you’re now part of the global movement that’s making business a force for good.
We’ve always strived to be pioneers in the skincare space, so we’re thrilled to be one of only 32 personal care brands in the UK to be a certified B Corp, and one of the first 900 UK companies to be accredited. And we passed with flying colours too, achieving a first-round score of 87 points. That’s a whole 10 points higher than the average B Corp in our sector, and leaps ahead of the average company score of 50.9.
But while we’re incredibly proud to have hit this important milestone, it’s not about keeping score or being the best – it’s about making a promise to do the best we can.
Why we did it
Simply put, B Lab (the non-profit network behind B Corp certification) believes businesses don’t exist just for their shareholders, and brands don’t exist just to make profits. And we couldn’t agree more.

It also requires knowing your flaws, being honest about them, and having a plan to improve – something Pai has been committed to since day one.”
How we did it
No stone was left unturned in the 18-month process that it took to get our certification. Every single bit of our business was under the microscope, scored point by point across the key pillars of governance, people, community, environment and customers.
Thanks to our hard-earned organic certifications and ongoing sustainability efforts, we shone particularly brightly in the Environment category – gaining recognition for our eco-friendly practices in our London-based factory. Our highlights? Not only have we saved 54 tonnes of waste from landfill with our recyclable packaging, but our bespoke closed loop water system in our manufacturing plant conserves 900 litres of water with every production batch. That’s 270,900 litres of water saved in our assessment year alone.
What happens next
B Corp certification isn’t a trophy at the finish line – it’s the start of something so much bigger. By becoming a B Corp, we’ve made a commitment to our community and our customers to evolve and improve.
