Now, we’ve gone one step further and created an everyday face cream formulated with this much-loved ingredient to brighten dull skin.

Proven to deliver radiance

Sensitive skin and Vitamin C aren’t always the best of friends, and formulating an organic moisturiser with a potent dose of the good stuff certainly wasn't easy. We wanted something that delivered results, as well as being kind to the skin – and we’re proud to say we’ve reached our goal.

But you don’t have to just take our word for it. There’s an outdated misconception that both natural ingredients and sensitive skin-friendly formulations can’t perform. We know better. And we put our money where our mouth is by putting it to the test.

In a two-week consumer trial of 114 subjects:

• 91% agreed their skin looked more radiant
• 91% agreed it gave their skin a healthy-looking glow
• 91% agreed their skin looked less dull
• 94% agreed it left skin feeling hydrated
• 83% agreed it made their skin texture look more even

The testers – who had no idea what product or brand they were trialling – were impressed, with one summing up their experience: “Skin feels soft, smooth and nourished with a healthy glow, with no irritation on my sensitive skin.”

The hero ingredients

Our light, silky and non-greasy cream is powered by Vitamin C – naturally – but that’s not all.

We’ve added superfood ingredients which help to strengthen the skin as it brightens, featuring upcycled and sustainably sourced ingredients that keep irritation at bay. Here’s how the hero ingredients will support your skin.

Stabilised Vitamin C

This corn-derived Vitamin C is in an oil-soluble format, which breaks down on application and slowly releases into the deeper layers of the skin, where it gets to work. This is crucial to its efficacy; Vitamin C is very unstable, and chances are if you’ve reacted to it before, it’s down to the ingredients that have been added to try and counteract it.

Ours is encapsulated in fatty acids, which protect the ingredient until it delves into your skin – so it’s not only less irritating, but it’s more effective too.

And those effects are well worth it. Vitamin C’s melanin-blocking properties ensure your skin looks its brightest, with a more even skin tone and texture. By fighting against pesky free radicals and boosting collagen, it also supports the skin as it ages. Throw into the mix the fact it's a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from the environment, and we can all agree it lives up to the hype.

Upcycled Bilberry Extract

Next up is Bilberry Extract, a seed rich in Omega 3 and 6. These polyunsaturated fatty acids are key to the formation of ceramides – one of the building blocks of healthy skin – therefore strengthening the skin barrier to soothe and calm.

Even better, these seeds are upcycled ingredients that would otherwise go to waste. We stop them in their tracks, taking them from other industries before they’re thrown away and upcycling them to create high-quality, nutrient-rich oils.

Hyaluronic Acid

A hit of hydration is essential when formulating any moisturiser, and nothing does it better than our hero, Hyaluronic Acid. A sugar the body naturally produces, Hyaluronic Acid can hold between 10 and 50 times its weight in water, storing it like a reservoir for the skin and reducing Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL).

Inulin

Our sensitive skin-friendly formula wouldn’t be complete without a prebiotic punch. On the skin surface sits the microbiome, a crucial layer of bacteria that helps protect the skin. Prebiotics preserve and protect the skin by rebalancing its microbiome to form a natural defensive shield. Extracted from chicory roots, this all-natural prebiotic works with the skin to reduce irritation and help keep it calm.

Zero-waste botanicals

As well as the upcycled Bilberry extract, we’ve included zero-waste Camellia Oil and Mango Butter for their skin-softening properties. Grown specifically for their oils, any waste is carefully managed and goes on to be used for animal feed or as a natural fertiliser, so as not to go to landfill. Good for the planet, and great for your skin.

How to use our Vitamin C cream in your routine

Our Vitamin C moisturiser suits all skin types, so if you’re looking for a brightening face cream, you can slot it into your existing routine.

We always recommend that your moisturiser is applied after serum, and before oils. And of course, always follow with your SPF as a final step if you’re using it in the morning.

C-2 Believe can be used morning and night as a brightening, strengthening and hydrating face cream. It gives good glow - so our top tip is to use it in the morning. Not only will your skin look perkier, but it’ll work throughout the day to protect from damaging pollution and UV rays.
